Yellow Folder: Please check this folder each night, empty it, and have your child bring this folder to school everyday!

Chromebooks: Please follow the guidelines that were sent home via yellow folder and in an email. Also, please return on Monday and each day fully charged. Thank you for your help!

March is Reading Month- Mrs. Bachelor has shared our March Reading Madness for reading month - here is a link that has some fun read alouds for the reading brackets that you can vote on - voting opens up Tuesday, March 15th for the first round! March is Reading Month 


Ask My Child About: (below are some fun things to ask your child about!)

  • We started Unit 4 last week!  

  • GrapeSEED songs: “The Beehive” & “Green”

  • GrapeSEED story: The Farmer and the Carrot

  • GrapeSEED poems: “Ostrich”

  • GrapeSEED letter focus: h,r,o,s  (letter name and sounds - we also review and go over the entire alphabet whole group and within centers!)

  • Syllables - winter animals

  • Beginning sounds

  • Rhyming mittens - discussed that rhyming words have the same ending sound

  • Answering questions using a sentence and counting the number of words that create the sentence. 

  • Handwriting - “Frog Jump” uppercase letters: F, E, D, and P

  • Math - 

    • Continued identifying numbers: 11-12 and teen numbers: 15-16

    • Using 10-frames to show numbers: 0-20

    • Tally marks, counting by fives

  • Fine Motor - 

    • Using scissors and glue to make letter craft for our book!

    • Painting

    • Dot markers

    • Clothes pins

  • SEL (Social Emotional Learning) - 

    • Miss V comes into our class on Fridays. She was unable to join us this week so we reviewed the different emotions together.
