Last Laps for Lincoln Collection Day

Laps for Lincoln @ Lincoln School @ 5-7pm - hope to see you there! :)

Yellow Folder: Please check this folder each night, empty it, and have your child bring this folder to school everyday!  I have added your child’s student id on the inside cover of their folder.

Google Classroom instructions:

It is important for all students/families to join our class’s Google Classroom. You must use your child’s district email (5 digit#@stjoebears.com) address. I put your child’s 5 digit number inside their yellow folder. Please email me if you still need their number.  Please go to classroom.google.com, click the + sign in the top right corner, click join class and enter our specific class code:xflss7i. I have also invited each student to join! Here is where you will go to get our Google Meet link for our Live lessons if we need to go to remote learning. The leader calendar will be in our google classroom under “google calendar” starting in October. Below are the leaders for the remainder of September:

9-27 - Teddy - Celebrate Birthday!

9-28 - Avery - Celebrate Birthday!

9-29 - Reign

9-30 - Marcus

10-1 - Magnolia

Upcoming Events:

10-6 - Late Start

Last Week:

We continued to review our rules and procedures, practiced another fire drill as a class, made a wagon craft out of rectangles and circles, had our first SEL (Social Emotional Learning) lesson with our school social worker, Miss VonBehren. We also started our calendar and math songs! Students continued playing in centers: Blocks, Writing, Big Books, Library, Dramatic Play, and received a surprise visit from two high school football players who read to our class on Friday! Our class has done a fabulous job donating for Laps for Lincoln - thank you for your help and support! Also, our class has almost reached our bucket filler goal - where our class will receive an extra recess for making green (good) choices! Keep up the good work, Young Fives!

Please let me know if you have any questions!

Thank you,

Abby Schmidt
