Yellow Folder: Please check this folder each night, empty it, and have your child bring this folder to school everyday!

Chromebooks: Students have been using and learning how to use their chromebook a few times in class and during Library. We are practicing how to log in and use some of the computer programs: Lexia-Core 5, Starfall, and GrapeSEED, and will be learning more after break. Chromebooks will begin to go home with your student beginning in February after we have finished learning how to log in/learn the tools, resources, and websites.

Ask My Child About: (below are some fun things to ask your child about!)

  • GrapeSEED songs: “Just Wiggle”, “My Hands”, “Blue”, & “Two”

  • GrapeSEED stories: Mother Who Lives in a Boot & Too Big, Too Small

  • GrapeSEED poem: “Girl” & “Boy”

  • Syllables - clapping and counting the number of syllables in a word - we have done names, months, and food!

  • Math - 

    • Continuing to count and write the number counted

    • Continuing to create simple patterns using two colors to create a couple simple patterns

    • Writing numbers 

    • Math game - Gingerbread path game with dice - one-to-one correspondence practice 


  • Centers 

    • Which one did you like the best? 

    • Which center did you play in today? 

    • What did you play with? 

    • Who did you play with?
