Thank you for attending Spring Conferences! It was nice to discuss your child’s academic and social progress! I appreciate your time!

Ask My Child About: (below are some fun things to ask your child about!)

  • We started Unit 4 last week!

  • GrapeSEED songs: “Four Little Ducks” & “The Little Bitty Spider”

  • GrapeSEED story: The Dancing Pig

  • GrapeSEED poems: “Yes, I Can!”

  • GrapeSEED letter focus: h,r,o,s  (letter name and sounds - we also review and go over the entire alphabet whole group and within centers!)

  • Syllables in their name

  • Answering questions using a sentence and counting the number of words that create the sentence.

  • Handwriting - “Frog Jump” uppercase letters: F, E, D, and P

  • Math -

    • Continued identifying numbers: 11-12 and teen numbers: 13-14

    • Using 10-frames to show numbers: 11-20

    • Tally marks, counting by fives

  • Fine Motor -

    • Using scissors and glue to make letter craft for our book!

    • Legos

    • Unifix cubes

    • Clothes pins

  • SEL (Social Emotional Learning) -

    • Miss V comes into our class on Fridays. She read a story, discussed, and showed a movement song on the emotion: afraid. Students talked about when they have been afraid and what they do to feel better or solve the problem.

  • Centers

    • Which one did you like the best?

    • Which center did you play in today?

    • What did you play with?

    • Who did you play with?

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you,
